Why Friday?
Friday is our busiest night due to Hilton fireworks. A large number of people walk past our gallery before and after the show. Because the ocean is now very close to the hotel, beach access is limited, which means guests must walk through our hotel—bringing more foot traffic to the gallery.

Agreement required:

  • You may not promote yourself directly while at our gallery.

  • Please tell customers to contact us if they are interested in your artwork.

  • If you are contacted by a customer who discovered you at our gallery, you must either refer them back to us or pay the 60% commission.

  • We rely on honesty and integrity. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not apply for this art show.

I am an artist myself, and I understand how art markets and night markets work. Many of them charge artists high upfront fees—sometimes $250 for just a few hours—and often there isn’t much foot traffic.

That is why I created this opportunity. We do not charge artists upfront. We only take a commission when you make a sale, which I believe is fair. In fact, a 60% commission to the gallery is standard in the fine art industry and is designed to be fair to our consignment artists. We follow this practice to support both the gallery and the artists professionally.

Regarding not promoting yourself directly, this is a standard rule in fine art galleries. We ask for your understanding and respect for this policy.

I truly know how hard it is to be a professional artist—because I am one too. I own two galleries on OÊ»ahu, and both galleries support only local artists. This is not easy for us either, but we believe in supporting one another.

Let’s work together to show people what local artists in HawaiÊ»i can do.
Not art from California or Italy.
Not cheaply made products from China sold as “HawaiÊ»i art.”

Real. Local. Hawaiʻi-made art.

Mahalo for your understanding and support.
